I was so enthused by this one that I rushed right out to the store to find a white sweet potato, another bag of carrots because I was out, and raw cashews! $63 dollars later (a few other items were on my list) I rushed back into the house to start preparing my chowder and as my foot touched the kitchen floor I realized that I do not have any corn in my cupboard! I am headed out to dinner; have started the chowder, but will have to finish it tomorrow! You write the most wonderful blog – thank you!
I don’t believe it——-Is this the Kathy Ford that I knew from my friendship days with Nancy Board!! I always wondered what paths were taken
Hi Cathy! Yes, remembering our time ten years ago!!! Great to hear from you…are you still a quilt-maker in Vermont??
I certainly am! What was amazing to me is that I found you on the Material Obsession blog! You are doing fantastic work!
Kathy, what a beautiful writer you are, i felt as though i was on this sojourn also, what an experience.
Thank you Artie!
Your writing and photography are both fabulous! You know I must be enthralled when I’m sitting here at 2 in the morning perusing your blog. 🙂
Thank you so much for passing on the news of Desi’s passing in your blog. I knew she wasn’t living with you and your dogs. I thought you might have put her down soon after Kush died. Bailey died almost 2 years ago in a similar manor. She started losing weight in Sept 2015, lost over 5 pounds by February 2016. After an X-ray and trying tons of different food, I said good bye to her. I felt I was just watching her starve to death, though I didn’t want to do any invasive surgeries. Bailey was just 1 month shy of being 14. The kitties were born in March of 2002, so Desi was actually 15 almost 16! You gave her and Kush a lot of good years, and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve thanked you for that.
I hope your parents continue to improve and that you all stay warm up there in the north. Even down here in Georgia with been in the teens and 20’s a couple of mornings this week.
